A leading US healthcare provider needed a robust solution to manage patient relationships, streamline clinical trial workflows, and integrate disparate data sources. Their goals included creating comprehensive patient profiles, automating complex sales processes, simplifying patient access to clinical trials, and integrating external trial data. They faced challenges in consolidating information from EMRs, medical devices, and wearables, as well as efficiently managing the intricate steps of clinical trials.

Dynamisch partnered with the client to implement Salesforce Health Cloud and Sales Cloud, delivering a comprehensive platform that addressed their key challenges. Our approach focused on patient-centricity, process automation, and seamless data integration.
Patient-Centric Profiles
We implemented Salesforce Health Cloud, creating a 360-degree view of each patient by integrating data from multiple sources, including EMRs, medical devices, and wearables. This enabled personalized care and improved patient engagement.
We also configured Person Accounts and implemented an OmniScript solution to display the nearest three locations to a patient’s address, allowing staff to easily update the selected location and primary contact information directly within the patient’s profile. Duplicate rules were implemented to maintain data integrity.
Streamlined Sales Processes
We implemented Salesforce Health Cloud, creating a 360-degree view of each patient by integrating data from multiple sources, including EMRs, medical devices, and wearables. This enabled personalized care and improved patient engagement.

Automated Clinical Trial Management
We meticulously mapped the client’s clinical trial workflows and built custom objects (e.g., Trials, Site Activity Progression, Site Start-up, Indication) to manage every stage of the process. Custom fields, record types, page layouts, and other configurations were tailored to their specific needs. Powerful automated workflows, using screen flows, record-triggered flows, and Apex triggers, were implemented to streamline trial management from initial study to completion. Apex triggers and classes, with 100% test coverage, were used for field rollups across related objects. Data migration from the client’s existing systems was handled seamlessly using the Data Loader.
Enhanced Patient Access to Trials
We developed a custom Lightning component leveraging the Google Maps API to display the nearest hospitals to a patient, simplifying the process of finding suitable trial locations. This component integrates seamlessly with the custom trial management objects.
Real-time Trial Data Integration
We integrated Salesforce with the client’s Realtime API using Apex callouts, enabling the automated retrieval and updating of external trial data and related site information based on protocol numbers. This integration ensures access to the most current trial data. Robust error handling and comprehensive test classes with over 90% code coverage were implemented to ensure data integrity and reliability.
Reporting and Analytics
We created custom reports and dashboards to provide the client with real-time insights into their sales processes and clinical trial progress. A custom app home page was designed to display key metrics, tasks, and recent trial records, empowering data-driven decision-making. User profiles, permission sets, roles, and approval processes were configured to ensure secure and controlled access to the system.
